Leaning Tree

Large charcoal drawing etched into with putty rubber on stretched paper. The twisted roots and knobbly trunk of an ancient leaning willow tree, which seems to be crawling up the hillside. I love the chiaroscuro created by the gnarled shapes and the portal where the branches curl together framing the beyond. A wonderful subject.

Dimensions framed: 62.5cm x 87cm (P)

Framed in simple charcoal black frame.

Large glazed work. Will incur extra shipping costs to pack safely.

Medium Charcoal, putty rubber, A1 stretched paper
